Sick Day Rainy Day

mom has a sinus infection.  brooke is finally getting over her cough and head cold. henry just came down with his fever yesterday and will be starting us on round 3 of this virus.  oh and it's absolutely pouring outside.  so even after a little tylenol...and two children bouncing off the walls.... we are housebound for fear of getting swept away in a flood.  we seemed to make the best of it yesterday and today!

Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday

Bello tradition lives on in our house...mardi gras....beads....king cake....feast!

guess who got the baby!  hopefully Dad will have some good luck for the next year....oh and it's his turn to bring the cake next ;)

 

Brooke's First Day at Montessori

Brooke went to her first day of Montessori school today.  It was really a class with mommy to but one getting her ready for the fall for when mommy drops her off for the day with Henry.  She did pretty good and her favorite work of course were all of the pouring activities.  Good luck to Ms. Heather next year!

Old Fashion Balloon Trick

Ok yes we've all seen this trick.  But I showed it to these two yesterday...oh my.  The reaction was priceless.  They were occupied with these stupid balloons for over an hour.

Most of the patients at Hopkins Children's don't plan to come to the hospital. They wake up thinking it will be a day like any other, but somehow they end up in the emergency room. For the Wheatley family of Monkton, a typical fall morning ride to school ended with a horrible collision with a truck that brought young Sarah to Hopkins Children's and changed her family forever.

My First Home

On our way to Philadelphia we drove by my first house in Norristown, PA...yes this is the very townhouse Mom and Dad brought me home to once I was brought into this world.  And then we moved to Houston Texas.

Very proud of my brother Jason and his amazing business he has going for him. He was invited to have a little bit of his work displayed at the Philadelphia Home Show over the weekend. We all went up to see it...the kids even loved to smell the flowers!

An Old Favorite

This sweater was a gift from my friend Chelsea at a baby shower for Henry.  It's still in perfect condition and one of my very favorites to put on the kids.  Of course it only gets cuter with the hairbow!  YES! She's finally letting me put them in :)

Sick Day

Isn't is just grand when Mommy is sick? I still have to get up and get things dones - the house won't take care of itself, the kids won't take care of themselves, and I have lots of work to catch up on for myself.  I think Moms really do deserve sick days. Sadly, we don't get them and we just keep on being everything to everyone. If you know of a mom sub or a boss I can call into let me know!

Wi Partners

President Day ~ day off for the kiddos.

We had a couple friends over for the morning. Henry showed Sebastian how to play Toy Story 3 on Wi.

Now I'm praying that tonight's snow storm ends soon enough that we don't have the kids home AGAIN tomorrow!

Day with Dad

I spent the day in NYC with my mother doing a little TMS buying. When I arrived home I was impressed to see every game, toy, craft...you name it item in the playroom on the floor. I thought for sure Matt must have been either in the shower upstairs or outside doing something. After browsing the camera I now see that he was looking through the camera and capturing our two monkees while they were doing their destruction.

Yesterday was indeed another perfect day in mid February...what a tease! We are now expecting snow on Tuesday. We spent the day with good friends, a walk into her town to get lunch, a stop on the way back at the playground, and home for a nap (bmb) while Henry and I played outside. If only it could've happened over the weekend so we could have enjoyed some of it with Dad :(

This is how we get lots of GOOD into the kids....Kale smoothies.
1 can lite coconut milk
2 leaves of kale
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 cup second fruit or ice
(sometimes a banana and strawberries)
protein powder
water to get the right consistency.

A Spring Tease

Yes it may be another 32 days until spring but this week has been fantastic! Lots of sunshine + temps in the 60s = kids outside.

Valentine's Day

This morning we woke up to a perfect pink sky. Without Dad we had a special pink and red breakfast before Henry headed off to school with his 42 valentine's and homemade heart cookies that read 'be mine .. henry b'. Henry was a little concerned that he would turn pink like the story pinkalicious. Kids are napping before we have our Valentine's Day dinner and tea with cupcakes this evening. More to follow...

Henry's First Play

So to conclude Henry's first year at Montessori School...he had a major role in his school play...he was the first penguin out on stage! Too funny that he's following his friend to his left when she waves he waves...poor kid doesn't even see us! The play was absolutely hysterical and all the kids did a wonderful job!!

Thank you ALL for your generous donations...what a perfect morning. My favorite part..the weather...Brooke's favorite part were the dogs! (Henry was in Boston). And thanks to my wonderful husband for coming with me :)

Spring Fling for Earth Day

Henry celebrated Earth Day at school all week and today ended with a spring fling...pony rides, and a petting zoo. He waited very patiently for his turn to ride the pony...and we all know how much he LOVES horses...he had so much fun!
