new chalkboard

Henry is testing out the new magnetic chalkboard. After 6 coats the magnetic paint doesn't really work that well (I do not recommend this product). The chalkboard part is better!!

The playroom is slowly coming together!! Henry is enjoying it more and more each day...and so is mom :) Thanks DAD!!

37 weeks

here is the latest comparison.....count down is less than 3 weeks!

hot hot hot

It has been in the 90s for a few days and I wasn't really prepared. Is it April or August?! Henry enjoyed popsicles and lots of water play while the only nesting I started was to shave the dog because the clumps of dog hair throughout the house are out of control. Hopefully this week I can start to clean the house when the weather cools down!

Pergola

Matt is building a cedar pergola for one of the hotels...so far looks awesome. Jason is doing the hardscape installation. Looks like the pergola might be installed this weekend on site!

Playroom Update

Well we are finally IN! Trim work isn't finished and the rugs are on their way...but I decided it was finished enough to move all the toys out of the living room. We are so excited about the new space Dad built for us. I enjoy my coffee while Henry occupies himself all morning and all afternoon. He loves his art table and can't wait for me to finish his magnetic chalkboard. So far the magnetic primer has proven to be a horrible product...few more coats and hopefully it'll do the trick!

Outside Finally!

Hopefully most of you enjoyed this past weekend...it was finally super nice. We filled the sandbox and spent most of the weekend outside. Henry loves to run around barefoot just like his dad!

Rainy Few Days

Did you all have as much rain as we did? The past few days have been miserable. But thankfully today and the weekend ahead will allow us to get outside and enjoy the sun :)
All geared up for the rain.

We planted our lettuces and spinach seeds just in time for the rain...hope they didn't wash away.

Puzzles are a favorite rainy day activity.

Easter

Here is a slideshow with some pictures from Easter...but check back tomorrow because we need to update it with Henry's egg hunt. As you will see the bigger boys were lucky to find some eggs that the bunny left for them too!! We had a great Easter...dinner was fantastic and the carrot cake was awesome! Hope you all enjoyed your holiday too :)

Uncle Tyler's attempt at making Henry a Super Grover cape!
Why does it take Dad so much longer to find eggs than it took me?

Grover in the basket...Good call Easter Bunny!

Ever read the book 'Pinkalicious'? It's a good thing his cousin gave him that book last year!
My first attempt at making cookie pops. Wasn't too disappointed...can't wait to try some for Henry's birthday!

Row Your Boat

Henry loves to sing in the car these days. However he does not like when the song goes so fast he can't keep up! Here is one of his favorite songs caught on the van cam!

Easter Bunny

Henry visits the Easter Bunny! Luckily he escaped without too much abuse. Mom had to pull him away when he started to beat the bunny over the head with the carrot. Hope he still gets some goodies on Easter.

Feeling Better...Getting Outside

there must be something very interesting about flowers

maybe it's the taste?

what? time to work...ok!
here I come

gardening is hard work

assessing his work for tomorrow

Jungle

"Dad...it's a jungle out here!"

"seriously...when does the grass get cut Dad?"
"and Murphy...what did you leave on this ball?"

It's SPRING!

ah...finally our flowers are really starting to bloom!

Counting

we only count from 1 to 12....learning the teens is our next goal!

counting bricks....there are certainly more than 12!

Being Green

Thank you Uncle Tyler for picking up Elmo goes Green!! Henry has been sick with a horrible stomach bug since Friday and sitting in front of the TV has been the only cure. This really is a cute video...especially if you like Elmo! Much better than the Christmas Countdown Henry has been insisting on watching for the past 24 hours!
And here is poor Henry trying to savor his first 'meal' in four days (a ramekin of rice)...and Murph just doesn't get it...he'll scoop up even the tiny grains that hit the floor!
