I Used To Be Cool

...or maybe I never was. So I now drive a car that I always swore that I would never, ever, ever own in my whole life. Funny how having kids changes your perspective on things. We went back and forth between a small SUV/wagons (Explorer, Pilot, Volvos) and the 'minivan' but it just seemed to make sense.

I have to give a lot of thanks to experienced friends who either own a minivan and to those who don't but regret not having one. Because they are really the ones who talked me into it.

I will keep one promise to you all ... that I WILL NOT have a bumper sticker that says 'my honor roll student...' and I will keep a promise to Tyler that I won't put a mini wastebasket with a plastic liner in between my two front seats! So far I think we made the right decision...Henry seems to be happy in it especially when he's out of his seat and can run and hide all over. And it certainly has made my life easier with the giant sliding door that doesn't swing back and hit me in the ass as I'm trying to load the car. And what's better than 14 cupholders and 2 glove boxes?! LOL!!! At least we picked out a model with the super tinted windows...this is so Matt can drive it and no one will know he's in there :)

Old Montero

No matter how well your car has served you, there will come a day when it's time to let it go. It might be that your car is spending more time in the shop than on the road, or that it is no longer safe, or you get to work completely high from exhaust. So last week the day came when we had to call the Purple Heart and have her taken away :(

Over Slept

So this is what happens when Henry decided to sleep in this morning. He realized that he missed saying goodbye to Dad for the day. So sad. Especially since he got up and put on his red boots as if he were going to march out the door to look for him. Who's his stylist anyway?

When will the frost go away?

Well we at least got started indoors this year...and early too! Our tomato plants have started to grow even though they look a little leggy to me. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. And we also started a little Easter grass for our centerpiece this year. Hoping it will fill in a little before the Easter Bunny arrives.

First Signs of Spring

well here they are.......our first flowers!! I think they are crocuses...if he left a few for them to bloom maybe we could tell. he's too busy sharing them with friends and neighbors to smell the first signs of spring.

Playroom Update

Well here we are early March and finally approaching a finished playroom that our father and husband has been slaving over for the past several months. Many cold weekends were spent demolishing and building from scratch this beautiful new space for our children to play in. I love it...I love it...I love it!!
Still haven't picked out our Dash rugs yet but that decision will hopefully be made soon so we can start to move things out!
Before - when we moved in.

Color Game

Our tot has so much fun with his little critters that we decided to use them to learn some colors.

Colored Mickey's compliments of Home Depot's Disney color swatches!

We started off our breakfast routine this morning with red, green, black, and blue. Not much luck on his own with scoring 100 but we'll get there eventually!
